“I actually started writing this letter this past summer when Zuzu, a seven year old brindle greyhound, was in the midst of her six rounds of chemotherapy to fight the angiosarcoma which had been found in her ear and neck. This little strong dog had her first visit to CCVS in March, 2009 and had been a patient for 9 months. Unfortunately, on January 3rd, 2010, my husband and I had to let her go. I now find myself needing to finish this letter to let you know that our girl lived with a great quality of life for nine wonderful months because of your outstanding, caring staff.

“I have met almost ALL of your staff. Every single person has treated me, my husband and most importantly, Zuzu, in such a way that I am grateful and feel so fortunate to have this resource so close to home.

“I write this letter at the end of this story with my heart missing my Zuzu, by also knowing that if I am ever in the same situation I will be able to take my puppies to CCVS and get the best care, from the front desk to the most specialized doctor you have. You staff is an amazing group of talented, compassionate individuals who worked as a team to provide the best possible care for our Zuzu! Thank you is not enough for what you r staff gave us – nine wonderful months where we got to spoil, snuggle and just love our girl, Zuzu. Thank you!”

“On Sunday, 11/29/09, my beloved cat Buddy was just barely hanging on to life. I called ahead to explain what was going on with him. The person on the phone was wonderful, so kind and understanding and compassionate.

“Once there, the staff was fast and efficient. They explained what was wrong with Buddy and the treatment he needed. They called me later that night to let me know that he made out fine and that he should fully recover.

“The 2 days he was post-op, the care and communication that Buddy and I received was outstanding. Daily calls and updates were given. Discharge instructions also were very complete.

“I have been a nurse for 28 years and I can honestly say that your medical team is far better than most MDs. Thanks to you, Buddy will enjoy another Christmas with his family and his best buddy, my Lab, Brady. Once again, thank you so very much. May the good Lord bless all of you!”
